The big news, Donald Trump called Senator Elizabeth Warren Pocahontas, again. While I haven’t kept an official count I believe it has been somewhere around a dozen times that he’s made this reference.

“You were here long before any of us were here. Although we have a representative in Congress who, they say, was here a long time ago. They call her ‘Pocahontas’”

The venue, meant to honor the WWII Navajo Code Talkers, was a terrible choice to crack the joke. Made even worse that the news conference was held in front of a portrait of Democratic President Andrew Jackson of Trail of Tears infamy, among other atrocities directed during his Administration towards the Native Americans.

Almost predictably the left’s over the top reaction of everything Trump led them to lose the high road. CNN and MSNBC spent copious amounts of time analyzing and commentating during their Tuesday programs. Leave it to the Washington Post to find that “some within Trump’s own party found this troublesome,” quoting no other than John McCain: “Our nation owes a debt of gratitude to the Navajo Code Talkers …. Politicizing these genuine American heroes is an insult to their sacrifice.”

Naturally but inexplicably the left immediately started claiming racism, including Elizabeth Warren herself, responding on CNN’s Anderson Cooper 360: “There he was, at a ceremony to honor Native Americans, men who have really put it all on the line to save American lives, to save lives of people, our allies, during World War II, really amazing people. And President Trump couldn’t even make it through a ceremony to honor these men without throwing in a racial slur.”

How to respond to such a non-story being turned into a major event? With mockery, of course. Enter Doc Thompson host of The Morning Blaze on The Blaze Radio Network who asked his listeners to Tweet using #ElizabethWarrenIndianName.

The suggestion quickly took off and quickly made Twitter’s “top trending” list.

There were the unoriginal who offered responses such as Lieawatha and Fauxahontas but many were more original such as:

“Dances with Cultural Appropriation”

From Michelle Malkin: “The Tall Tale of the Palest”

“Lying Bull”

“sack-of-poo-ia”

“Squaw McSquawface”

Garnering 0 likes and 0 retweets, possibly the most brilliant of all:

“Queen Snowflake”

Of course some were less than amused:

“Reporting every single person posting on the #ElizabethWarrenIndianName thread. Your racism isn’t cute, and if you have any public information, I’m emailing your boss.”

“Seeing this racist hashtag and comments, Hillary was right about Trump and his voters. They are a basket of Deplorables”

A scene from a recent Family Guy episode gives the perfect response to the hysteria that can sometimes come from social media posts.
