In 2000 in Florida he became General Counsel of Gore’s Recount Committee
2004 he was an adviser to Wesley Clark’s Presidential campaign
In the 2004 general election campaign he helped prepare John Kerry for his debates with George Bush
Then appeared on shows such as the Today Show, Good Morning America, Nightline and the Newshour with Jim Lehrer
From 2008 to 2011 Vice President Joe Biden’s Chief of Staff
Played a key role in President Obama’s Stimulus Law including signing off on the Solyndra loan government guarantee
He is has now been announced as President Obama’s Ebola Response Coordinator with zero medical experience
