Target

I recently posted  a column “Target: Should Conservatives Start Boycotting?” It was based on Townhall’s columnist’s John Hawkins’ article “If Conservatives Want To Change America, We Need To Embrace Boycotts.

Target’s CEO, Brian Cornell, finally surfaced last week to address the controversy. From The Washington Post article: “Target CEO responds to nationwide boycott of the store over transgender bathroom policy” his statement read in part:

“We’ve had a long history of embracing diversity and inclusion a couple of weeks ago, one of our team members sent me a note reminding me that if we went back to the mid-60s, our company was one of the very first to use African American models in their advertising. And back then, you know, it wasn’t well received. We had a lot of tough feedback, but sitting here today, we know we made the right decision”

Taking a similar (and in my opinion despicable) approach as Attorney General Loretta Lynch in equating the issue of allowing men in girls bathrooms as that of the Civil Rights movement of the ’60’s.

It should be noted Target announce it’s “bathroom policy” on April 19th, from Yahoo Finance that day their stock closed at 83.98 points and on last Friday, the thirteenth, it closed at 73.88 points a drop of 12%.
